Four militants killed by police in Egypt’s Giza
Egypt’s police have killed four militants in a Giza village on Sunday afternoon, the Egyptian interior ministry announced.
According to the statement issued by the ministry, the four militants were killed in an exchange of fire with the security forces assigned to arrest them in a rented house in Atfih district, Giza governorate, south of Cairo.
The ministry added in its statement that house was used by the “four terrorists” to manufacture explosives.
According to the interior ministry, the suspected militants killed were 24-year-old Ahmed Siyad Abdullah, 29-year-old Mohamed Farouk Abu El-Hassan, 27-year-old Akram Mohamed Hassan, and 25-year-old Abdullah Mohamed Abdel Naby.
“The four terrorists were supporters of Ajnad Misr’s leader Ahmed Galal Ahmed Mohamed Ismail who was recently killed,” the statement added.
The interior ministry also said in its statement that the four suspected militants were involved a number of terrorist attacks. Several types of weapons were found at the house, in addition to a car that was allegedly used in multiple terrorist attacks, along with a motorcycle without a license plate.

Ajnad Misr has claimed responsibility for several deadly attacks against police in Cairo, including an explosion near the Ittihadiya presidential palace in June 2014 that killed two police officers, and a blast outside the foreign ministry in September of the same year that also left two policemen dead.
