France, Egypt in talks on enhancing cooperation in tourism field

Egyptian tourism minister Yehia Rashid received Sunday former French ambassador to Cairo Philippe Coste to discuss means of enhancing mutual cooperation between Egypt and France in tourism field.

Rashid added that the ministry is preparing for an inclusive promotional campaign that targets French tourism firms. It will largely depend on e-marketing and bloggers to share their positive experiences to encourage tourism movement to Egypt.

The ministry is set to invite French media figures and celebrities in different fields to visit Egypt, the minister said.

Rashid clarified that he talked with ambassador Coste on encouraging French tourism firms to engage with Egyptian tourism sector widely.

Coste urged operating direct flights from Paris to Sharm El Sheikh, pointing out that the embassy is currently studying possibility of operating direct flights not only from Paris but from other cities.
