France’s services output fell by 2.0 per cent in June 2024, according to latest data released by the country’s statistics agency on Friday.
Significant drops were observed across various sectors: information and communication output decreased by 2.8 per cent, arts, entertainment, and recreation by 6.9 per cent, and real estate activities by 1.9 per cent.
Accommodation and food services saw a 0.8 per cent decline, while professional, scientific, and technical activities fell by 1.5 per cent.
Despite the monthly decrease, second-quarter output for 2024 was 3.5 per cent up compared to the same period in 2023, with notable gains in professional, scientific, and technical activities.
Conversely, real estate activities experienced a 0.8 per cent drop.
