French – Egyptian Meetings In Agrifood Industry

The AGROTECH Department of the Economic mission – UBIFRANCE, the French Agency for International Business Development, organizes buyers meetings in the field of food industry equipment on Wednesday June 27, 2012 at the Marriott Hotel in Zamalek.

Seven French companies will participate in this event to build partnerships with Egyptian companies:

-Brenet SA: manufacturer of equipment for the dairy industry;

-Clauger: specialized in refrigeration and process air;

-Eurofood trading SARL: trader of used equipment;

-Goavec: manufacturer of stainless steel tanks;

-Paccor: manufacturer of packaging machines;

-PCM: manufacturer of pumps;

-Pichon: French leader of slurry tankers.

The agrifood sector, one of the assets of the industry that has relatively been spared by the events in Egypt, has experienced very strong growth over the past 10 years and has good opportunities for medium and long-term development, especially in the dairy sector.

The food industry is the main industrial sector in France, especially known for the quality of its products and has a real expertise in the field of equipment and food technologies. In the context of the prevailing crisis in Europe, many companies of this sector are seeking to develop their international activities. By its strategic position, its people and its attractiveness, Egypt is an interesting country where many French firms seek to develop or strengthen their activities.

In 2011, the Egyptian imports of food industry equipment accounted for 70 million euros. France holds approximately 10% of the market share.

By organizing this event, the Economic mission – UBIFRANCE hopes and wishes to increase the visibility of French products in agrifood sector so that Egyptian and French companies can build sustainable partnerships for a joint development that can be beneficial to their activities.
