First Lawsuit Against Egypt’s New President

Lawyer Fathy Farahat filed a lawsuit in the administrative court against the Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, in his capacity as the head of the legislative power, and Mohamed Morsi, Egypt’s president; calling on the SCAF’s chairman and the chief of judicial council to specialized medical committee for a medical check on Dr Mohamed Morsi. This to detect if the medications he takes, will affect on his mental and intellectual state and his ability to take decision.

In his lawsuit No. 47823/66, he said the higher presidential elections commission announced Dr. Mohamed Morsi as Egypt’s president, so who takes over the position should has good reputation. His mental abilities should have aptitude, because he will take political, economic and military decisions will directly affect on the Egyptians, according to Al Watan newspaper.
