Germany, Egypt discuss cooperation in agricultural fields

Egyptian Agriculture Minister Essam Fayed met Friday with a mission from Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development to discuss means of mutual cooperation in agricultural fields.

In its developmental projects, the German mission asserted that it focuses mainly on supporting consumer complexes, food commodities,  food security, in addition to upgrading farms and boosting exports and imports between Egypt and Germany, the minister clarified.

Fayed added that the German mission expressed its keenness on participating in projects of agricultural development, upgrading and cooperation with Egypt that depend on increasing farms’ productivity and opening new markets.

The German side also expressed its keenness on taking part in Egypt’s National project for Greenhouses, Minister Fayed clarified.

Moreover, Both Egyptian and German sides agreed on upgrading agricultural scientific research through exchanging expertise and missions between two states.
