Germany ready to support Egypt to produce solar power: envoy

Germany is willing to provide Egypt with all required technical expertise to produce solar power in order to use it in a project for reclaiming 1.5 million feddans, said German Ambassador to Cairo, Julius Georg Luy.

The ambassador made the statements Wednesday on the sidelines of a visit to Assiut governorate along with Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazy, state news agency MENA reported.

Luy said Germany has a strong desire to support the national projects in Egypt, such as Aswan Dam.

He also expressed his country’s support for Egypt to restore security and stability.
