Gold prices in Egypt rise 0.50% today, Thursday, 06 August 2026

Gold prices in Egypt rose on Thursday, supported by higher international bullion prices and movements in the Egyptian pound, according to market data at 18:22 local time (15:22 GMT).

Twenty-one-carat gold, the country’s most widely traded grade, rose 30 Egyptian pounds, or 0.50 per cent, to 5,975 pounds per gram from 5,945 pounds on Wednesday.

Spot gold traded at $4,256 per ounce, while the US dollar was quoted at EGP 49.8294, according to market data.
