Gold prices in Egypt set a new record on Thursday, with an increase of about EGP 14 as global gold prices increased by $30

The price of 24K recorded EGP 958.85, while the 21K registered EGP 839, and the 18K about EGP 719.15.

Ehab Wasef, deputy head of the gold division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce said that prices witnessed today their highest value in the history of gold in Egypt.

He added that the price of a gold coin rose by about 112 pounds to record 6,712 pounds.
