Egypt Urges Private Sector, NGOs Participation in Development Plans

The current government is keen to pump more investments, modify development plans and to allow private sector as well as the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to participate in development plans , said Dr.Sameh El-Shazly ,the Advisor of the Egyptian Planning Minister,Ashraf El-Araby.

El Shazly added that the Ministry is supporting the initiatives which seek to improve the citizens conditions in the slum zones, adding that EGP3billion has been allocated so as to achieve social justice schemes and to focus on unemployment rates through re-launching the closed factories, in addition, supporting sewage services.

El Shazly further explained that the Ministry is intending to modernize the country’s plans for development for long-term, putting sustainable development plans, supporting for infrastructure projects and the development of subway.
