Hitachi’s Ahmed Emad joins Egyptian e-commerce Sprint names to lead expansion plan!

Egyptian e-commerce logistics startup Sprint announced on Thursday it named Ahmed Emad as Head of Product to lead the company expansion plan in the region.

Emad has held various positions with Aramex and Careem, and he is joining Sprint from Hitachi Energy, the global technology leader in which he led the marketing communications activities in Egypt, as well as North, and Central Africa.

During working with Aramex, Emad helped the company to facelift its brand in Egypt. He also led the first formed e-commerce team to boost the company efforts to lead the B2C logistics segment in the country.

Emad used to be an activist within the startups ecosystem in Egypt since 2012 since he co-led Techstars Startup Weekend programme across all the country connecting young entrepreneurs with the ecosystem stakeholders such as investors, VCs, private sector and governmental and educational entities. He has recently helped few other startups in the logistics and e-commerce field.

Sprint has recently celebrated two years of success, processing 1,000,000 shipments. The company has announced its future plan to introduce a new quick commerce (Q-commerce) solution and expand its operations into the African market soon where Emad is expected to play a pivotal role in the execution of those plans.
