Housing Minister Seeks Gamal Mubarak Project Resumption

Dr. Tarek Wafiq, the Minister of Housing and New Urban Communities confirmed his commitment to continue the underway projects which cost the government millions of pounds, promising not to suspend any of those project unless they have stirred up problems. He stated that he aims to resume the project dedicated for the 1000 poorest villages which is known as Gamal Mubarak’s Project adding that such project is pivotal for citizens.

Moreover, the Ministry of Housing will form new committees for keeping the real estate wealth and reviewing the Unified Construction Law, Wafiq said, stressing that  Dr. Hesham Kandil, Prime Minister, will form a ministerial committee to complete the project.

 The Minister also said to Al Masry Al Youm  “the poorest 1000 villages project was received with great welcome from the ministries concerned, and whereupon, I have contacted Dr. Kandil regarding forming a ministerial committee immediately in order to continue the project and develop these villages.” He described the project as “brilliant” and very important.
