Housing, sewage, education projects in Sohag worth $1bn: governor

The total volume of projects executed in Sohag governorate is estimated at 8.927 billion Egyptian pounds (US$1 billion), Governor Ayman Abdel Monaem announced Wednesday.

He clarified that the projects include: eight projects in housing sector, nine projects in water sector, 33 projects in sewage sector, 11 projects in health sector, 45 projects in education sector, and 14 projects in irrigation sector.

The governor made these remarks during his meeting with the Cabinet in which he showcased a report about projects in Sohag governorate. The meeting also discussed a report about the latest situations  in the government after being hit with devastating floods recently.

Abdel Monaem noted that there were 15 suspended water and sewage projects but the governorate followed the procedures necessary for re-operating them.
