In Number: Arab Armies join Battle Against Houthis in Yemen

Ten countries have mobilised forces to combat anti-government Houthi rebels in war-torn Yemen after they advanced on the southern city of Aden.

One-hundred and eighty-five fighter jets, led by the Royal Saudi Air Force, are taking part in Operation Storm of Resolve.

The ten countries participating in the operation are Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Egypt, Pakistan, Sudan, Morocco and Jordan.

The chart below lists the number of soldiers and fighter jets each country has pledged for the operation against the Iran-backed rebels:

Saudi Arabia :
Fighter jets: 100
Ground forces: 100,000

UAE :
Fighter jets: 30

Kuwait :
Fighter jets: 15

Qatar :
Fighter jets: 10

Bahrain :
Fighter jets: 15

Egypt :
Naval vessels: 4

* Egypt announced that it was ready to send troops if requested.

Jordan :
Fighter jets : 6

Morocco :
Fighter jets : 6

Sudan :
Fighter jets : 3

* Sudan declared that it was committed to sending ground troops as well.
