Industry Grants New Licenses to EGP4.3 bln Chemical Investments

Egyptian Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade has issued licenses for 267 new industrial facilities in the chemical sectors at EGP 4.3 billion investing costs, from July 2011 till the end of June 2012.

The productive capacity of the new factories reaches EGP 6.4 billion every, and they provide 10172 direct job opportunities, as well as thousands of indirect job opportunities.

On his part, Hatem Saleh, Minister of Industry, asserted to Amwal Al Ghad that the industrial sector in Egypt will witness more growth in the coming period, bolstered by the increasing demand on its products in both local and international markets, in addition of the efforts exerted by the government.

Khaled Aboul Makarem, Deputy to Chemical and Fertilizers Export Council, told Amwal Al Ghad that, the council exerts extra efforts to open new exterior markets for Egyptian products of fertilizers and chemicals.
