Tourism Coalition: Protests Over Morsi’s Decisions Cancel Winter’s Reservations

Egyptian Tourism Coalition has affirmed that the news disseminated about the million-man march of Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist parties in Tahrir Square, to support President Morsi’s decisions, canceled many reservations, and led to declining the occupancy rate in the hotels.

Hossam Al Akawi, Head of Egyptian Tourism Coalition, stated that the protests on the constitutional declaration and the political instability resulted in canceling numerous reservations, although the tourism sector is hoping that the winter season could compensate its losses since the Egyptian revolution erupted.

In a statement of the Egyptian Tourism Coalition, Hossam Al Akawi called on all the parties and political parties to protect Egypt from entering into a bloody chaos, as Egypt will be the big loser at time the Egyptian economy is collapsing.

He also addressed the elected President Mohamed Morsi to prevent the division among Egyptians, which happened due to his constitutional declaration, and to create a state of consensus about his decisions, in order that Egypt could restore stability.
