Insurers, Healthcare Firms Shall Cooperate To Eliminate Violators: Kotb

Abdel Raouf Kotb, chairman of the Insurance Federation of Egypt (IFE), affirmed the importance of cooperation between insurance and healthcare companies for eliminating violators of insurance agreements.

Such cooperation will also help in reducing the medical insurance costs incurred by insurance companies and increasing the activities of healthcare companies.

The health maintenance organizations (HMO) that are not complying with the system and regulations shall be eliminated, he confirmed.

Kotb called for concerted efforts to develop the insurance sector without resorting to the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) to interfere.
