Intro Sustainable Resources (ISR) announced on Tuesday that it has signed a MoU with Siemens Energy to implement 300 MW of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) complex in Egypt and the Middle East region by 2030.
Under the agreement, Intro is responsible for the financing and comprehensive development of the plants, while Siemens would conduct technical studies and supply the project with turbines and other necessary equipment.
The project is expected to reduce carbon emissions and combating climate change through increasing energy efficiency and the first of these plants will be implemented in Egypt.
