Iraqi president in Egypt Sunday to meet al-Sisi

Iraqi President Fuad Masum will visit Egypt on Sunday to meet with President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, Iraqi ambassador to Cairo Diaa El-Dabbas announced on Friday.

Masum’s visit, which is at the behest of al-Sisi, will involve discussions on bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region, particularly the ongoing “fight against terrorism”, El-Dabbas said in statements to Aswat Masriya.

He added that Masum’s visit comes after trips to Egypt by Iraq’s ministers of defense and commerce in the past few months.
