Jewelry maker L’azurde sales in Egypt hit $383mln in 2015

The sales volume of largest jewelry designer, manufacturer, and distributor in the Middle East L’azurde in Egypt reached 3.4 billion Egyptian pounds (US$382.9 million) in 2015.

Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad Tuesday, L’azurde CEO Selim Chidiac stated that the company achieved this volume through selling around 12 tonnes.

He added that L’azurde captures around 20 percent of the Egyptian market as it owns two factories with labour power of 1,500 workers in addition to 11 branches for wholesale distribution.

The official added that the company injected 50 million Egyptian pounds (US$5.6 million) in the Egyptian market during 2016 to establish production line for engagement rings  in addition to a line for 14 carat gold for the first time in Egypt.

L’azurde provides more than 3,000 models per year in Egypt to suit all tastes and ages, Chidiac clarified.
