Lawsuit Against Exporting Power To Gaza Strip

Lawyer Reda Barakawi filed today a lawsuit before the State’s Council; calling for returning a verdict of canceling the decision of the president, PM and minister of electricity of exporting power to Gaza Strip. The lawsuit also demands compensations from the president, PM and the minister of electricity over the power outage.

The lawyer added that what the PM has said in his speech of the necessity of power conservation may be obligatory, refers to a crisis that the Egyptians will be the victims of the blackout.

The repeated power outage in Egypt affected all the state’s apparatus and the hospitals’ performance; wondering that the Egyptian citizen lives without power in many districts, so how we export to Gaza Strip.

The lawsuit elaborated that the continuity of exporting power to Gaza Strip refers to a real ongoing economic crisis. Egypt witness during the previous days power outage in Cairo for successive three hours, consequently the underground suspended for three hours, suspending 22 water sanitarian stations and deleting the trading orders in Egyptian exchange.
