Lawsuit against Zewail, Okdah and Amer postponed to March 21st

Qasr el-Nil Court of Misdemeanors, headed by Ehab Yousry Abu Zaid, postponed the lawsuit raised by a researcher at Helwan University against Dr. Ahmed Zewail; Farouk El-Okdah, governor of Central bank of Egypt; and Tarek Hassan Amer, chairman of National Bank of Egypt to March 21st. The Plaintiff claims that Zewail, Okdah and Amer announced an unreal project under the name of Zewail City for Science and Technology.

The notice no. 1580 for 2012 states that the researcher Farag Zaky claimed that Tarek Amer’s announcement of donating EGP 250 million to Zewail City for Science and Technology, which was approved by Farouk El-Okdah, is fake.

El-Okdah’s defendant and civil plaintiff submitted to the court 20 folders and demanded to see the NBE’s board report which approved NBE’s EGP 250 million donation to Zewail City for Science and Technology.
