Lebanese lira hits a new low against US dollar

The Lebanese currency hits record low against the U.S. dollar, 95,000 lira to one dollar, on Monday, CNN reported. The latest exchange rate comes in light of Lebanese banks going on strike since Tuesday, objecting to judicial decisions.

The Lebanese lira keeps getting weaker in the last months, losing almost 95 percent of its value against the dollar, amidst the country’s political and economic turmoil.
