Luxor Governorate allocates 500 feddans for solar power plants in Armant

Luxor Governorate is planning to issue 500 feddans in Armant town, 20 km south-west of Luxor, to establish four solar power plants within 2017, Governor Mohammed Badr said Tuesday.

The governor made these remarks during his speech in Luxor Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development Conference that takes place from 2-5 January under the auspices of Egypt’s Prime Minister Sherif Ismail.

Badr stressed on the importance of using solar power to enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian tourism sector.
