Military museums welcome visitors for free on 6 October

Egypt’s military museums are set to open to the public for free on the 6th of October to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1973 victory.

The National Armed Forces made the announcement on its Facebook page on Saturday.

The museums include the National Military Museums in the Cairo Citadel, El Alamein, and Port Said, and the open-air weapons exhibit at the 6th of October Panorama.

The government also announced a public holiday on Thursday, to celebrate the event.
