Minister Of Tourism To Activate Higher Committee For Pilgrimage

Hesham Zazou, minister of tourism, said the ministry is about activating the role of the higher committee for Pilgrimage and Umrah, after Eid El Fater (Islamic Feast) ends.  

Zazou added that the ministry finished its preparations to prevent any congestion after the Umrah season ends. The ministry fixed times but the pilgrims should commit to them.

The ministry also started its preparations for the pilgrimage season during the current period to facilitate the travel processes without any congestion, Zazou said.

On the other context, the minister affirmed that the latest incidents took place in Sinai negatively affected the tourism sector; meanwhile, the sector needs more stability for attracting more foreign tourism.
