MOF Allocates EGP 3 Bln to Buy Local Wheat

Finance Minister Momtaz Saeed has decided to speed up the process of allocating EGP 500 million’s provision for the Ministry of Supply and Internal Commerce as the fourth payment to purchase local wheat. The Ministry of Finance (MOF) has provided up till now EGP 3 billion for the Ministry of Supply and Internal Commerce.

“The MOF had transferred EGP 2.5 billion in the form of three payments. By the fourth payment, the MOF’s total payments to purchase the local wheat till May 20th reaches EGP 3 billion.” Saeed added

On the MOF’s efforts to raise the allocations of the different educational institutions so as to upgrade the education process in Egypt, the minister agreed on providing EGP 886 thousand for Minia University. The MOF aims at spending this payment on the livestock farms in the Minia University’s Faculty of Agriculture as well as on improving the labs of the faculty of engineering.

Additionally, Momtaz Saeed has agreed on raising the allocations of the Islamic and Coptic antiquities restoration by EGP 328 thousand. The Islamic and Coptic antiquities restoration project is supervised by the Supreme Council of Antiquities.
