Mondelez making Milka chocolate in Egypt, seeking to double its exports

Egypt Foods For Food Industries (Mondelez Egypt) seeks to double its exports to Europe and North Africa after operating a new production line to manufacture Milka chocolate locally, according to Bilal Sharabati, its Managing Director.

Tenth of Ramadan City facility is where its first domestic production line for Milka in the Middle East exist as part of the company’s expansion plans.

He added that the company’s expansion plans valued at 400 million Egyptian pounds in its three plants, whereas the volume of its investments in Egypt amounted to 2 billion pounds.

Sharabati added that his company has succeeded in increasing the volume of its exports 5 percent reaching 45 percent of the total production of its three factories.

Mondelez  seeks to continue its investments in Egypt considering that it is an export hub to more than 24 countries around the world.

It is worth mentioning that Mondelez Egypt Foods owns three plants for the production of chocolate, biscuits, and chewing gum in 10th of Ramadan City and in Alexandria.
