More Upper Egypt commercial, industrial businesses will be gas-connected in June

Egypt is planning to connect around 1,600 commercial and industrial customers in the Upper Egyptian region to the national natural gas grid by the end of next June, the country’s petroleum minister Tarek el-Molla announced Sunday.

The ministry aims to make a quantum leap in the Upper Egyptian governorates through supplying both commercial and industrial customers in those areas with the fuel needed to boost their activities and businesses, he added.
