Morsi Cancels His Visit To Ethiopia

Reliable sources in the presidency stated that President Mohamed Morsi has canceled his visit to Ethiopia on account of the circumstances that the country facing.

The Egyptian president was supposed to travel to Ethiopia on Saturday morning to attend the African Summit and to deliver a speech there.

On the other hand, both the Egyptian Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Dr Salah Mohamed, and Minister of Water Resources and irrigation, Dr Mohamed Bahaa El Din, traveled to Addis Ababa to participate in the African Union Summit tomorrow.

 Earlier on Saturday, a court sentenced to death 21 of the 73 defendants accused in the Port Said soccer stadium disaster.

Soccer fans and families in Cairo had cheered the court ruling. Soccer supporters had demanded the death penalty for the accused and threatened violence if justice was not done.

But some in Port Said were angry that people from their city were being held responsible for the disaster, and many rampaged through the streets. A witness saw some storming a police station, according to Reuters.
