New 333.000 mobile users in Egypt – MCIT Report

Egyptian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology’s indexes (MCIT) revealed Monday that  333.000 new users were added to Egypt’s total number of mobile users by the end of March.

The indexes showed that Vodafone Egypt is in the lead with total number of 40 million subscribers after adding 300.000 new clients , seizing 41.7% of market share.

The indexes also clarified that Mobinil has lost almost 132.000 subscribers in March maintaining the second rank with market share estimated at 35.2%.

The total number of Mobinil users recorded 33.7 million, the indexes revealed.

Moreover, Etisalat Egypt ranked third with market share valued at 23.1% after attracting 166.000 new clients reaching a total users’ number of 22.2 million in March.
