Nikkei ends Morning Slightly Lower amid Pause In Yen’s Slide

Tokyo stocks closed the morning session slightly lower Friday, weighed down by falls in automakers, electronics firms and other exporters due to a pause in the yen’s slide against the dollar.

The Nikkei Stock Average finished morning trade at 10,116.32, down 6.96 points, or 0.07%.

The benchmark index turned higher midway through the morning session, temporarily climbing to 10,148, driven by the steady performance of China-linked shares.
