NO Increase in Hotels’ Chambers: Samir Haleeba

Eng. Samir Haleeba, head of Ras Sedr Businessmen Association, assured that no increase in the hotel chambers in Egypt; explaining that the reason of their multitudes is retreating the demand on them.

He referred that a number of projects have been finished yet in Sinai region, which was previously supposed to be under a comprehensive development plan, consequently, Egypt’s Tourism Development Authority started to distribute the investors’ plots of land.

He underscored the necessity of restoring security to attract tourists and investors as well as constructing projects. A number of problems that had occurred during the 15 years resulted in attracting cheap tourism to Egypt, comparing to the branches of the global hotels in other countries.

On the other hand, Haleeba expected that the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) cannot influence on Egypt’s tourism, as President Morsi promised not to expose to Egypt’s tourism.
