Activist Raises Lawsuit Against Youtube Block Verdict

Amr Farouk Al Madany, Political and Human Rights Activist, has filed a lawsuit to Egypt’s Attorney General Talaat Ibrahim Abdullah, against the Administrative Judiciary Court’s verdict concerning blocking the Youtube site “which raises the anger of Morsi and Muslim Brotherhood” as mentioned in the lawsuit.

Farouk has demanded in the lawsuit no. 3608 the Attorney General not to block Youtube under the pretext of threat to religious morals or blasphemy.

He wondered why they did not file a lawsuit to block pornographic sites on Facebook, Google and YouTube pages and at the same time they demand the blocking of Youtube because of an offensive film.

It is worth mentioning that Egypt’s administrative court on February 9th ordered the ban of YouTube in the country for a month for not removing the controversial anti-Islam film, The Innocence of Islam.
