NUCA to Hire New Workers instead of the Protestors

New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) is talking its affiliated cities, almost 23 apparatus, in order to determine the number of the demanded agricultural workers in the apparatus, instead of the workers who left work after their sit-in.

Eng. Amen Abdel Monem, the Authority Chairman for developing the new cities affairs, said each apparatus identifies the underemployment, and the authority holds a bid with “agriculture and afforestation” companies in order to do such work in the new cities. He explained that the authority hasn’t fired any work, “we haven’t fired anyone, and who doesn’t work according to the authority’s conditions, and he is free”

It was mentioned that this problem at the beginning of July, whereas 500 worker of the temporary agricultural workers in the new cities protested in front of the authority; calling for temporary contracts. The sit-in turned to be violent, and two workers were injured, 4 protesters were arrested and referred to the prosecution for attacking the authorities.
