Osama Kamal, Anne Patterson Discuss Boosting Bilateral Cooperation In Petroleum Sector

Eng. Osama Kamal, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, has received the American ambassador Anne Patterson in the ministry headquarters. They discussed the ways of cooperation, which lasted more than 50 years, between the petroleum sector and the US companies in Egypt. This cooperation represents a successful example for the Egyptian American cooperation in the fields of petroleum industries and gas.

The minister said the meeting tackled a number of issues concern boosting the joint cooperation opportunities with the US companies, which are key and important partners for the petroleum sector in the projects of researching, exploring, developing and producing the petroleum and gas, manufacturing equipment, the marketing activities,   and disturbing the petroleum products. Furthermore, these companies have the technological licenses for refinery and petrochemical projects.

Eng. Osama Kamal referred that he and the American ambassador had taken up the opportunities of increasing the cooperation in fields of transferring new technology, providing scholarships in engineering, geology, financing and project management, moreover, providing training for different job levels to qualify those who work in petroleum sector, exchanging consultations in the field of petrochemical industry, especially Egypt is implementing projects for this industry. He added that they settled on the vision and future of Egyptian petroleum industry.
