OTMT Eyes Mobile License In 3 Countries

Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT.CA) said it currently competes for obtaining the license which would enable the company to provide mobile services for 3 countries.
Karim Beshara, the CEO of OTMT, said the company is currently studying the available  opportunities in a number of countries so as to compete for the license to provide mobile services in three countries. OTMT is focusing on Africa and Middle East region in order to compete for the mobile license, Beshara added.

Beshara further told Amwal Al Ghad that after France Telecom (FT) had announced the acquisition of Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) (Global Telecom) (ORTE.CA), OTMT still owns 5% of the Egyptian Company for Mobile Services – Mobinil (EMOB.CA)’s stakes.

OTMT will keep on searching for opportunities for providing mobile services in the fast-growing markets within the coming phase, he noted.
