PM inaugurates Beko’s 1st industrial complex in Egypt
Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly on Wednesday inaugurated Beko’s first industrial complex in Egypt. The 14,000-square-metre facility is located in the 10th of Ramadan City Industrial Zone.
During the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Madbouly emphasised the government’s commitment to supporting the industrial sector. He highlighted the importance of domestic manufacturing in meeting local demand for essential goods, including home appliances. He also praised Beko’s role in contributing to Egypt’s industrialisation efforts.
Beko officials provided an overview of the plant’s operations. They noted that the construction of the facility began in 2023 and was completed in under a year, thanks to the government’s expedited the golden licensing process.
The complex features a state-of-the-art research and development centre. The facility will focus on developing innovative home appliance solutions tailored to Egyptian consumers. The centre will also prioritise sustainability in product design and collaborate with local universities on research projects related to energy efficiency and quality.
