Printing Chamber plans building $1bn-industrial zone in Suez Canal axe

Chamber of Printing and Packaging at Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) is scheduled to meet Chairman of General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone-SCZone on September 6, 2016.

Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad Tuesday, chamber’s Head Khaled Abdou stated that the meeting with Chairman Ahmed Darwish would discuss establishing industrial zone for packing and packaging among the projects scheduled to be established in Suez Canal axe within the coming period.

The industrial zone is set to be established with Egyptian-foreign joint investments estimated at US$1 billion, Abdou added.

He clarified that the new industrial zone is expected to serve all industries that would be established in Suez Canal axe within the coming period as well as boosting exports of printing and packaging sector.

During the meeting, the chamber and SCZone are set to discuss all details about the project notably the space on which it would be established, Abdou noted.
