Ready-Made Garment Council, Chinese Companies Start Negotiations

Egypt’s Ready-Made Garments Export Council is getting ready to negotiate with a group of Chinese companies for establishing a number of textile factories in Egypt.

Mohamed Kasem, chairman of the Ready-Made Export Council, told Amwal Al Ghad that he has opened channels for negotiation with a number of Chinese companies for this matter, which was received by support and initial approval. He referred to the necessity of supporting these textile industries in Egypt as alternatives for the high bills of textile imports.

The council also has negotiated with the Chinese side about the transferring the modern technology in the sector of textile industries and ready-made garments, through investing partnership between the two sides.
