Ruhrpumpen Egypt targets €1m in sales by year-end ’24
Egyptian-German Pump Company Ruhrpumpen Egypt expects to achieve sales of €11 million by the end 2024, up from €10.3 million in 2023, according to General Manager Mohamed Hassan Shehata.
The company has supplied over 1,200 pumps to various oil and gas companies in Egypt and abroad, including Germany, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and the UK.
Shehata announced that the company’s Suez factory has been recognised as the first in Egypt and the Middle East to produce fire pumps with 100 per cent local manufacturing.
With an annual production capacity of 520 pumps and a local manufacturing rate of 75 per cent for certain models, the company plans to expand its exports in 2024/2025.
Additionally, Ruhrpumpen Egypt aims to enhance its role in government projects, including the fourth line of the Cairo Metro and the Alexandria Abu Qir Metro.
The company also supports the maintenance and testing of existing pumps using reverse engineering to reduce reliance on foreign currency for new purchases.
