Samsung: 2 Mln TV Screens To Be Produced In Egyptian Factory

In an statement to Amwal Al Ghad, Hady Barakat – Factory Assistant Manager at Samsung Electronics – announced that the company is designed to manufacture 2 million television screens and LCDs within the coming 5 years through its new factory which will be established in Egypt in Kom Abu Radi are in Beni Suef Governorate.

Barakat added that the distribution process will rely on both the local and global markets as some of the manufactured screens will be exported to 9 Arab countries.

Worth mentioning, an agreement has been signed this Tuesday between the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry, of Investment, and the Governor of Beni Suef, as one party, and Samsung, as the second party, for establishing Samsung’s first factory in the Egypt.

The factory will be built on a space of nearly 3700 m2 in Abu Radi in Kom Abu Radi, at an investment cost reaches up to EGP 1.7 billion.

Lee Kun-hee, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, emphasized that his company chose to establish its factory in Egypt because of its unique geographical location.
