Samsung Names Seung-ho Yun as the New Managing Director of its Egypt Office

Today, Samsung Electronics announced that Seung-ho Yun has joined the Egypt team as the Managing Director, replacing Duke Park who has been working as Samsung Egypt’s Managing Director since 2009.

With over 20 years of working with Samsung, Mr. Yun brings to the Egyptian market a wealth of expertise in the field. Before joining Samsung Egypt, Mr. Yun held the position of the General Manager of Samsung Algeria.

“Egypt is a key market for Samsung with huge potential for further technological advancements,” said Seung-ho Yun, Managing Director of Samsung Egypt. “I’m looking forward with much enthusiasm to start working on all the great plans we have for the Egyptian market. Over the years, Samsung has been able to achieve remarkable progress locally; spearheading the electronics industry in Egypt. In 2014, we will continue to lead the market, offering our innovative, state-of-the-art technologies that best matches our users’ needs.”

Samsung has been successfully operating in the Egyptian market for many years; achieving remarkable milestones in terms of operation expansion, flagship product launches and community development presence. In 2013, Samsung opened its first factory across the region in Bani Sweif Governorate, in addition to launching the biggest initiative for supporting mobile application developers in Egypt, under the name of Entaleq. Moreover, throughout 2013, Samsung unveiled a wide range of products across all its divisions. Samsung also achieved solid progress in its Upper Egypt development initiative; renovating over 30 school IT labs in several governorates over the past three years to offer children a better learning experience.
