Saudi Fund for Development investments in Egypt hit $2.5 bln: minister

The Saudi Fund for Development has so far invested around $2.5 billion in 23 ongoing projects in Egypt, investment minister Sahar Nasr said Monday.

Nasr made her remarks during her meeting with the SFD officials on the sidelines of the World Bank meetings in Washington D.C.

The Egyptian minister met with SFD’s vice president Youssif Albassam to discuss the disbursal of the remaining tranches of $1.5 billion loan designed to finance development projects in the Sinai Peninsula.
