SFD Says Total Loans Offered to SMEs Hit EGP1.2 bln by June-End

The Social Fund for Development (SFD)’s total loans offered to the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) have hit EGP 1.297 billion by the end of last June. The loans were designated to finance 100.5 thousand projects.

Ghada Wali, General Secretary of SFD, told Amwal Al Ghad that SFD’s total loans given to the SMEs through other financial intermediaries and direct lending to finance 7663 projects have recorded around EGP 839.6 million.

Furthermore, Ms. Wali referred that SFD’s total loans for the micro projects – which were designated to finance 92.922 thousand – have reached EGP 457.4 million.

SFD has financed 84.811 thousand micro projects in which the funding reached EGP 440.6 million through non-governmental organization as well as Banque Misr and Banque Du Caire.
