Egypt’s stocks opened higher on Monday posting gains worth EGP 715 million. The main gauge inched up to 374.622 pts.
The Egyptian Exchange’s indices were wavering in green notes during the opening session of Monday.
Benchmark EGX30 increased by 0.42% to 5609p; while EGX20 rose by 0.43 % to 6563p.
On the other hand, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 edged up by 0.58 % to 483p. Price index EGX100 surged by 0.55 % to 808p.
Trading Volumes & Values
The trading volume has recorded EGP 11million securities worth EGP 5million, exchanged through 829transactions during Monday opening.
Also during the opening session, 65 listed securities have been traded in; 3fell, 39 advanced; while 23 keeping their previous levels.
Egyptians were net buyers seizing 95.1%, 2.84% respectively of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 88thousand and EGP 67 thousand, excluding the deals.
Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners and Arabs were net sellers seizing 2.06% and of the total market, with net equities of EGP 156 thousand, excluding the deals.
