Sisi announces direct flights between Egypt, Bosnia

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi announced on Monday the country’s welcome for new direct flights from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Egypt’s Red Sea resort of Hurghada, to stimulate tourism in both directions.

President Sisi and Denis Biščević, Chair of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, affirmed their commitment to enhancing economic, trade, and investment co-operation between the two countries.

The discussions focused on enhancing existing co-operation mechanisms, such as revitalising the Joint Committee for Economic, Scientific, and Technical Co-operation to boost trade between Egypt and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

President Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s strong support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He offered Egypt’s co-operation with all sectors of Bosnian society to enhance stability and growth.

Additionally, Sisi extended his congratulations to Bosnia and Herzegovina on the European Council’s decision to start negotiations for EU membership.
