Sisi flies to India today starting his Asian tour

Egypt’s president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi flew Thursday to India to kick off an Asian tour that will conclude with China, state news agency MENA said.

During his three-day visit to India, El-Sisi is planned to hold talks with  President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as other top government officials.

The  discussions will address promoting mutual ties between both countries in all fields as well as boosting economic cooperation and investment, hoping to raise the  trade volume between the two countries, which currently stands at $4 billion annually.

From India, El-Sisi will head to china to take part in the G 20 summit in the Hangzhou.

This is El-Sisi’s second visit to India; he first travelled to the country in October 2015 to attend the third India Africa Forum Summit, where presidents and representatives of 40 African countries discussed means of developing economic cooperation and mutual investments.
