President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres have received on Monday the leaders who are participating in COP27 climate summit.
The activities of the Global Climate Summit will be launched in Sharm El Sheikh, with attendance of 120 world leaders, heads of government, and a group of international personalities and experts.
al-Sisi is expected to inaugurate the activities of COP27 and deliver his speech, while the opening session will witness a welcome message from Egypt and a short film on climate change.
President will outline features of the roadmap towards a better future for people around the world, especially with regard to mechanisms for implementing previous pledges into tangible solutions to reduce thermal emissions’ rate.
The opening session will also witness the speech of António Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, President of the United Arab Emirates, which will host the next Climate Summit COP28.
Moreover, President of Senegal will join the session as head of the African Union, a Ugandan child climate activist and an inspiring U.S. climate change official.
