SMEs receive EGP 144.2bn worth of loans since 2016: CBE

The Central Bank of Egypt that the total value of loans given to small and medium-sized enterprises amounted to 144.2 billion pounds during the period from January 2016 through June 2019.

Small companies received a total of 84.4 billion pounds during that period, according to CBE statistics obtained by MENA Sunday.

The portfolio of loans offered to medium-sized firms reached 45.9 billion pounds, while micro-sized facilities got 13.9 billion pounds, the CBE stated.
